This is a no brainer when it comes to entertaining or parties. Tailgates, holiday parties, reunions or birthdays, you’ll always be on the invite list once you’re known as “the candied bacon person.” The dish is easy to whip up. Outside of non-meat/pork eaters, it fits most diets. The sweet cinnamon and sugar combo are perfectly matched with the saltiness of the bacon. The big thing to remember is… you want THICK cut bacon. Don’t get it prepackaged, go find a butcher and make friends. The bacon will experience some shrinkage, so make sure you end up with nice meaty chunks. Go big or go home!

Cinnamon and Sugar Candied Bacon
Ingredients:
- 3 lbs thick cut bacon
- 2 tbsp sugar
- t tbsp cinnamon
Instructions:
Cut bacon into 1 inch slices. Lay bacon out on a cooling rack on top of a cookie sheet. Place bacon in a cold oven and then set to 425 degrees. Bake for 35-45 minutes depending on desired doneness. (We suggest not crispy, but still chewy.) While bacon is cooking, mix cinnamon and sugar together. When bacon is done cooking, remove from oven and pat dry completely. While bacon is still warm, transfer to bowl and mix with cinnamon and sugar mixture. Serve warm or at room temperature.
