It’s CSAturday! That means it’s time to relax, open your CSA box and discover the joys of fresh scapes, Kohlrabi, and mint! That means two tasty recipes this beautiful Saturday with the promise of more to come!

Kohlrabi and Granny Smith Slaw

  • 2 Kohlrabi bulbs, peeled and julienned
  • 1 granny smith apple seeded and julienned
  • 6 tbls Mayo
  • 4 tbls apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbls sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp wasabi
  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • salt and pepper to taste
Directions In a large bowl add mayo, vinegar, sugar wasabi and ginger whisk well. Add kohlrabi, apples and season to taste with salt and pepper.

This recipe is more of a… guideline. If you’re a fan of minty flavor, and not that superficial artificial mint, add a little less.
Feeling dapper? More than the assigned amount of whiskey is totally acceptable.

  • 1 tbs sugar (raw)
  • 2 shots whiskey
  • 15-20 mint leaves
